Development – Design – Production WOLF Truss Presses WOLF system truss presses are developed, designed, and manufactured in our in-house mechanical engineering department. The systems are installed ready for operation at our customers’ sites by WOLF System technicians. The projection covers the entire width of the table, with its length limited only by the physical constraints of the laser projectors (approx. 6 meters). By linking the laser projectors directly to the WOLF machine control system, the projection is always displayed in the exact correct position on the table, completely independent of the machine’s physical position. For longer workpieces, this allows the system to display the complete layout step-by-step as the machine moves. To make positioning the timber easier, the projection can optionally be displayed without the nail plates shown. This option can be easily toggled on the control screen. Additionally, the projection can be set to either the bottom edge of the timber (table level) or the top edge of the timber. The timber thickness can be imported directly from the CAD data or entered manually. Switching between projection levels is done easily via a selector switch on the machine’s handheld pendant controller. The position of the workpiece on the table can be adjusted as needed (rotated, shifted, mirrored) using the WOLF machine control system, and is automatically updated in the projection. The handheld pendant controller allows the most important machine and laser projection functions to be operated conveniently right from the assembly table. The data for the laser projectors is calculated and provided by the WOLF machine control system directly from the CAD file. All timber edges and nail plates are imported, while all other elements of the CAD file (dimensions, text, etc.) are automatically ignored.
